Leslie Silvestri – President

Leslie has been a supporter of the Art Gallery of Mississauga for many years. In February 2020 she was invited to lend her over 25 years of leadership skills and experience specializing in governance and strategic planning to AGM. She was elected to the role of President in 2020. Leslie is a Healthcare Consultant and Nurse who advocates on behalf of many families in the community as well as educational institutions. Her work is highly focused in mental health advocacy, adjudicating, education and support to end child and youth suicide in Peel. She is the proud recipient of the City of Mississauga Civic Award, Polish Chamber of Commerce excellence award 2016, Brilliant Minded Woman Award 2015, Mississauga Heritage Award 2019 and multiple awards from both the provincial and federal government. Leslie is the Founder of Fashion Circuit Series Inc. where she with her team created a platform in Mississauga to showcase, educate and promote contemporary art and fashion since 2017 and prior to that in an advisory role at MFWK in 2015. She has an extensive record in the community and has held multiple Chair positions including VP of LDAPR, vice chair of SEAC at DPCDSB, United Way, president Hats on For Awareness, Fight the Cold Coat Drive for Onward and Upward Inc. She has created and built three hugely successful non profit organizations. As a student Leslie spent many years involved in dance and choreography curating pieces of artistic expression. She is a long time member of Mississauga Arts Council, Riverwood Conservancy and Mississauga Board of trade. She is a well known community leader and a resident of Mississauga for 40 years.

A Past President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the AGM, Steve is a retired senior business executive with extensive international experience. He has dedicated many years of service to multiple volunteer and not-for-profit organizations.  He was President of the Rotary Club of Mississauga where he resides. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his support to various local and international organizations. Steve is an avid supporter of the arts.

Anthony Pizzonia – Treasurer

Mr. Pizzonia is a highly accomplished executive who brings over 25 years of experience in various operating, financing, and business development roles within the private and public sectors. He has a demonstrated ability to manage financial and operational challenges. Anthony is currently VP of Finance at GS1 Canada, a neutral not-for-profit organization that develops and maintains global standards. As CFO for 18 years and eventually CEO, he led a small entrepreneurial company to IPO and later to become one of the largest security companies in North America with over 280 employees serving over 146,000 organically grown subscribers in Canada and the US. Mr. Pizzonia is a CPA, CMA and holds an Honours Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree from York University.

Mary is a dedicated community volunteer who lends her experience to a multitude of festivals and events. In addition to serving as Secretary of the Board for the AGM, she is also a Board member of the Southside Shuffle Blues & Jazz Festival in Port Credit. Mary works in the film industry, as an HR professional for the past 15 years and previously as a Financial Analyst with Imperial Oil for 21 years. Her administrative, business skills and attention to detail are an asset to AGM.

Silvia Gualtieri is Executive Assistant for GUALTIERI Insurance & Financial Services Inc., a Desjardins Agency. Prior to engaging in the business industry, she was an educator for many years with the Dufferin Peel Separate School Board, having taught classes from JK-SK through the elementary grades. She has been involved in many Charities and Organizations, such as the Catholic Women’s League as President at the local and the Archdiocesan levels, both as Chair of Communication/ Newsletter and Chairperson of Family Life. She has volunteered for the Vita Manor projects for young women in Streetsville, Children’s Choral Society of Mississauga, the Theatre Group Fundraising at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, and is a Director on the Mississauga Italfest Board. Presently Silvia has been appointed as Honorary Chair to the Gatehouse, a Social Service Organization for children at risk. She also acted as a member of the Parent – Teacher Association at the Secondary School level.

Silvia has served on the local Ratepayers Association in her neighbourhood. She has been involved in politics for many years, going back to the years of the Honourable William Davis. She is currently involved in local Riding Associations on the Provincial & Federal Levels, chairing committees on the Executive for both levels along with a role as President of the Riding Association. She has held active roles in the Election process as Campaign Manager, Election Readiness and most recently as Fundraising Chair in both Provincial & Federal Campaigns. She has organized workshops and Election Readiness Rallies for both levels of Government. Silvia was honoured with the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her service and volunteerism to her Community.

Patti is a long time resident and multi talented artist. She is well known as a spokesperson, emcee, commentator, interviewer, and public speaker and has produced successful shows for various organizations. Concerts and shows include performing with Michael Bublé, Burton Cummings and many more. Co-owner of Music Makes Miracles Inc. she helps non-profits and charities fundraise by sharing the gift of music. Joining forces with Adrian Luces in 2012 they fulfilled their desire to give back to the community and to promote the importance of supporting performers and the arts. Patti continues to record and guest on TV and radio and is thrilled to be hosting a new radio show on MapleMusicCafe.com in spring of 2021. She is busy collaborating with other songwriters for her fourth CD geared for release in 2021.

Festivals and Events and Community Involvement
+ 1996-2012, Mississauga Waterfront Festival A Founding Director & Event Mgr. Patti championed local emerging artists, created the Mississauga Future Stars competition and initiated bringing top Canadian headline talent including Jim Cuddy, Jann Arden, Bruce Cockburn, Sam Roberts, the Stampeders, Tom Cochrane.
+ 1996-Present, Canadian Music WeekDelegate Relations Mgr. facilitating Sponsorship and Advertising initiatives.
+ 1997-2004, Co-Commodore of the Mississauga Canoe Cluboversaw a record membership of between 250 and 350 members including Olympians, planned the clubs participation in National regatta from Halifax NS to Whistler BC.
+ 2008-Present, Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts (C.A.A.M.A.), President of the non-profit arm of Canadian Music Week. C.A.A.M.A. is a national organization dedicated to providing its members with free educational programming and non-commercial showcase opportunities locally and internationally.
+ 2010-Present, SickKids Hospital Herbie Fund Entertainment Co-Chair and event producer for this Global Charity and international arm of the SickKids Foundation, raising over 7million to date.
+ 2012-Present, SING! Toronto Vocal Arts Festival A Founding Director & Development Mgr. of Canada’s premiere a cappella event, featuring local and international stars like New York Voices. SING! is a TOP 100 Festival in Ontario.
+ 2008-2016, Big Music FestExecutive Director. From Bobcaygeon to Kitchener worked with Cities to facilitate crowds up to 60,000 for Tragically Hip, Aerosmith, Brian Adams, Soundgarden, Burton Cummings, Jane’s Addiction
+ 2016, Jazz on the Mountain Festival Co-Director with Dave Baker at Horseshoe Resorts featuring Canadian and international jazz artists like Larry Carlton.

+ 2013- Present, Mississauga Italfest A Founding Dir., President and Entertainment & Sponsorship lead for 1st festival of its kind celebrating Italian, Arts, Culture and Heritage. Italfest is a TOP 100 Festival in Ontario.
+ 2013- Present, Mississauga Music Walk of Fame Director. Notable musicians, and builders from the Mississauga Music community are chosen to receive recognition and a granite star on the Music Walk of Fame in Memorial Park, Port Credit. Patti is part of the team spearheading an exciting collaboration with Sheridan students and faculty to animate the stars through innovation and technology.

She has served as Executive Director of numerous organizations & has been an instructor at Sheridan College (in the Social Service Worker program) and at Humber College (Community Arts Development Program). Linda has her own consulting company, Soular Connection which has two focus streams: 1. value based success through strategic visioning, strategic planning, management & consulting; 2. health & wellness.

Linda’s educational credits include: Honours B.A. in Sociology (University of Guelph); Masters of Social Work (in organizational development and planning) from Wilfrid Laurier University; National Certificates in Voluntary Sector & Arts Management (Canadian Centre for Philanthropy and York University); Certificates in Executive Leadership and Managing Change from The Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity; Certificate in Leadership from Leadership Peel; and ongoing seminar/training courses.

Linda is an active member in broader community/ provincial initiatives. She is a member of the Mississauga Pops and Milton Concert Bands and the Ontario Pops Orchestra playing the French horn and has had the opportunity to perform at Stage West in a number of productions. She is a certified Master Reiki practitioner, Health and Wellness Coach, a Consulting Hypnotist, registered chair massage therapist and a Consultant with OYG Consultants specializing in strategic planning, life/work balance and coaching.

Linda has lived in Mississauga for just over 35 years and has two grown children and two grandsons.

Devon Ross is a Mississauga based visual artist who specializes in painting, photography and drawing, and is a 2015 graduate of the Visual & Digital Arts program at Humber College. He has participated in many art exhibitions throughout college as well as outside of college, and also has further experience with painting competitions. Devon has been a long-time volunteer at the Art Gallery Mississauga, the Mississauga Arts Council as a volunteer fundraiser and as a photographer at Mississauga Fashion Week. Devon brings solid analytical skills, a strong eye for detail and good relationship building skills to the team. His is a team player with a creative mind for the development of strong promotional images. He is passionate about enabling and empowering the development of innovative service initiatives/programs.

He is currently working on his passion of creating a freelance business as a photographer and visual artist.

She has over 8 years of experience in program management, evaluation and optimization with the aims of maximizing community impact. As the evaluator for the ‘border crossings’ project, Ana Angela is proud to be working in her local community.
